How Long Does CBD Stay In Your System?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a major chemical component of the resin of the Cannabis sativa plant, most commonly known as marijuana. In contrast to tetrahydrocannabinol – the infamous THC, CBD lacks psychoactive properties, which means it does not produce euphoric or intrusive side effects (it does not make you “high”) and is largely devoid of abuse liability.[i]

Potential therapeutic applications of CBD include analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, anti-arthritic, anti-depressant, anti-Alzheimer disease, anti-ischemic, neuroprotective, and anti-fibrotic.[ii]

CBD & the body

CBD is actually the “healing” component that is making all the noise around the medical world. But how does our body deal with CBD? How long does it take for CBD to pass through our system?

The time CBD circulates through our body depends on a variety of factors such as:

  • Physical factors and genetics such as your age, weight, and metabolism – Even identical twins don’t have the same metabolism rates. Cannabinoids as a whole are very lipophilic, resulting in decreased bioavailability, which presents challenges in optimal drug delivery.[iii]

Our body’s own laboratory is the “mighty liver” and its job is to find a way to process and pack the CBD so that our bloodstream gets the right amount and that the leftovers are excreted through feces or urine.[iv]

  • Frequency of usage – CBD excretion time is affected by the frequency of usage. The excretion time depends on whether you use our oil at an hourly, daily, or weekly rate. The higher the frequency, the more time is needed for the CBD to pass through your body.
  • Dosage – higher levels of CBD equals more time to process.
  • Method of delivery – oral ingestion directly or in the form of edibles, sublingual consumption by administrating few drops of our oil directly underneath your tongue, or inhalation by using CBD oil with vapor devices getting the fastest absorption speed and topical use by applying our product on the surface of your skin.

CBD not euphoric

A systematic review on the pharmacokinetics of Cannabidiol in humans published in 2018 concluded that an estimated half-life for oral daily usage was two to five days.[v] CBD is also detectable in urine up to 24 hours after usage.[vi] Here it’s important to notice that CBD is not THC and CBD does not prevent you from driving a car or anything else, as CBD is not euphoric.

One more important fact is that the risk of failing a drug test after taking Your Daily Drop CBD oil is slim to none as the research clearly states, as the aforementioned drug tests are calibrated to detect THC levels.[vii] And with a maximum of 0,2% THC, you can feel safe.

In conclusion our CBD oil is easily processed by your body and completely out of your system in a matter of days.

As we value your trust, our goal is to deliver a product that is safe, efficient, easily used, absorbed, and excreted from your body with the finest result for you as our customer.
