What Is CBD?
The Cannabis plant contains more than 100 cannabinoids and CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, is one of them. This active compound does not get you “high” and is believed to have been used since around 750 B.C. though there are some other claims. CBD is also officially being used for medical treatment and testing around the world.
THC In CBD Oil
THC, also known as Tetrahydrocannabinol, is one of the other active compounds found in the Cannabis plant. It is this compound that gets you that “high” feeling due to its psychoactive properties and it is the most well-known compound in the plant. CBD products are required to not contain more than 0,2% THC in Europe.
Even though CBD is not psychoactive, it still shares a lot of the same benefits as THC, without giving you that “high” or “stoned” feeling that is often associated with THC.
CBD From Cannabis Or Hemp?
Hemp is a specific variety of Cannabis sativa and it has been used for hundreds of years to make clothes, rope, food, and much more. In short, hemp contains more CBD compared to THC, while cannabis contains more THC compared to CBD.
Since CBD is the active compound that we are interested in, it is better to extract the CBD from hemp-derived products as the level of THC will be very low. The benefits of CBD do not change whether it is hemp-derived CBD or cannabis-derived CBD so therefore it does not matter which plant the CBD comes from.
It is the hemp leaves and flowers that are used to make CBD products, which includes Your Daily Drop Premium CBD oil.
Why Should I Take CBD?
Research shows that CBD has a documented effect in leaving a calming effect on both the mind and body.
Along with the growing popularity of CBD products across the globe, there will be even more testing and research and at the very least more results and facts about the use of CBD.
Currently published studies show that CBD has positive effects on chronic pain, PTSD, depression, arthritis, anxiety, inflammation and bacterial growth, memory, and concentration as well as sleep, and more.
Besides the abovementioned research, we at Your Daily Drop also sincerely believe that natural resources should be considered as the primary option when it comes to general health optimization.
Which Plan Should I Choose?
When it comes to CBD dosage, the first thing that you should know is that it is individually determined. It’s important to start with a plan that contains a low concentration of CBD if you are a new user of CBD. Furthermore, it is also recommended that you have been advised by a medical professional before you start taking CBD. Common dosages are between 10 to 100 mg of CBD per day and this is also approximately what you can get from our different plans here at Your Daily Drop.
If you haven’t tried CBD before or if you’re not sure which CBD oil concentration you should choose, then you should start with the 5% plan. This plan is recommended for beginners. At the same time, you should give yourself a good time to test your needs, and therefore start with less than the 8 drops a day (approx. 16,66mg) according to our monthly plan. Then increase up to the 8 drops, please read more about how to increase intake if you’re new with CBD.
When you eventually need to upgrade your plan you can easily do this through your login. Possibilities of upgrade from 5% is from 10% plan to 30%, which approx. gives you 33-100 mg CBD a day if you follow the monthly plans. Be aware that some new users might need to start with higher dosage than then 5% plan due to their size, weight and treatment need.
If you are an experienced user but want to adjust your normal consumption, you can take advantage of our CBD oil dosage calculator.
How To Change Plan
How To Use
Using our CBD oil is very easy. Each of our bottles contains about 240 drops, which equals 8 drops of CBD oil per day if divided into 30 days. Be aware that if it is your first time trying CBD, you could want to start smaller, which you can read more about under the topic “Which plan to choose?”.
The best way of taking our CBD oil is through the sublingual form. Drop the CBD oil under your tongue and leave it there for 1-2 minutes without swallowing, to allow it to get absorbed into your bloodstream naturally. The CBD oil will generally have an effect for up to 6 hours and you can, in general, feel the effects after 15-30 minutes. It’s an advantage to not drink or eat 30-45 minutes after intake to allow absorption to be maximized.
The amount of drops is up to you as it depends on a lot of variables such as your body weight and metabolism, but just be sure that you take a maximum of 8 drops on any given day or change your plan in accordance with your daily CBD intake needs.
You can calculate the approximately amount og miligram CBD like underneath (using 1500 mg as an example here)
1500 mg / 240 = 6,25 mg per drop * 8 drops daily = 50 mg daily CBD
